Sky plus box selling

Should i include the sky viewing card too!??

no. The card IIRC remains the property of sky.

If it's a cancelled or expired card that can just be used for freesat then I would include it, if it's a current card that you're paying for, of course not.

I always thought the sky box remained the property of sky and they could reclaim it at any time. Not that they seem to but if the contract has been terminated by you they may want it back.

After the first contract period (normally one year) the box is owned by the customer.

Ive upgraded so the box is just sitting..

But i have an up & running skybox and card in my room so is that one going to be any use if i send it!??..

i left mine when i moved, but i was out of contract and just freeviewing!

It will be linked to your postcode, so it will allocate the local BBC1 and ITV1 channels to 101 and 103.

If the purchaser lives a long way away, that might be a problem.

However it will be their problem.

It looks from googling as though you can get the free to air channels without a card, but would need a card to use the box for recording. If I hadn't specified "includes a card" in the sale details, then i would send without.
