MP3 player/satnav

I am buying a satnav that also says it is an MP3 player. How does this work? i.e. how do I get music onto it? I do not know anything about this kind of thing. Thank you

sorry liquid space, if you are anything like my husband, he gets frustrated with things because he doesn't rtfm (read the flipping manual)
it's a bit difficult to advise you how something works when you haven't told us what make/model it is
