electric toothbrush

How long does it take for an electric toothbrush to charge?
For the first charge it said 16hours, do I have to charge it for 16 hours everytime ?

I only charge mine for a couple of hours every few days.

I charge overnight, if it works after a couple of hours then I'm just going to give it a couple of hours now.
It's the same when you get anything which needs charging, the first time always takes a huge amount of time.

I wasn't sure boxtops. i thought it was a bit much to charge for 16hours each charge.
most first time charges are many hours long after that just plug in till the light goes off for a hour or two if no light
