I carried out a contract for 2 year stated at 30 pound a month then it went to 30.65 and now 31.00 a year later (today) this is tax but should the contractors have to pay the difference as the deal did say 30.00 for the text to years

If the contract says 30 per month then that is what has to be paid, unless there are contingencies for periodic increases.

If do not understand where the tax comes into it. If the contractor has an increase in tax then that is not the client's obligation to pay that.
what are we talking about here, mobile phone contracts? Often a price is quoted, but then it's Plus VAT. Is that what you mean?
Most contracts will make provision for a price change in the event of tax changes
At first i thought you meant you were charging someone for a service you provided but I'm wondering now whether you are talking about a contract you took out for something like broadband/mobile phone, Sky, etc. The increases will be due to VAT changes. As dzug says, these contracts usually make provision for changes in VAT. You need to look at the contract wording.
