I have an evergreen honeysuckle climber which I planted last year.It grew quite a bit but didn't flower.Unfortunately I have lost the label and I can't remember the name but I think it said to cut it back to a metre in Feb.Is this likely and should I do it now?

Like sprinter says don't touch it. They only need severe pruning when they get out of hand or you haven't the space for it. Light pruning is done after flowering so wait for then.
Agree...don't touch this year...light trim after flowering just to shape or tidy up !
