How can I successfully sew elastic into a garment using a tricot stitch. Is there a special kind of gadget that will help me do this?

Hi Lynn

A tricot stitch is usually one of the *stretch stitch* options on an electric sewing machine - have a peek at this site, it explains it very well. Your sewing machine manual should tell you if you have this option.
