Chrysanthemums in a pot

I had a bunch of shop-bought chrysanthemums which have rooted in the vase. Can I plant them in a pot? If so, any tips on growing these? Yes, I've googled but can't find advice on growing these plants in a pot.

yes you can, my mum did the same thing with hers when they rooted in a vase
they willgrow well in a pot but protect from frost so if you want to put them on a patio be sure to bring them in when weather gets cold
i have a shop bought one and when it finishes flowering -which it has now- i prune it back and it comes away again
hope this helps

Hi Diane. Did your mum cut them back or left them to wither?

Thanks for that. I'll cut them back and prevent them from getting too cold. Many thanks!
