dimmer switch

i have a light being fed from a 13amp and socket and plug i want to fit a dimmer switch

I had two switches, one could recite Latin and do algebra but the second one couldn't. He was the dimmer switch.

some dimmer (& timer) switches aren`t suitable for low energy bulbs if you`re using one.

I can do that as I know what i'm doing being a sparky and all that.....

Have a look on eBay for an 'inline dimmer'. As Brooksy says, they can't be used with low energy bulbs, only tungsten ones.
