garden flies

every day i have small fly like creatures flying round and round and round each other in my garden. they never seem to contact each other.
any idea what they are and how i can get rid of them.

hi,

to answer your question, the flies are called midges, they are tiny little flies that hang about everybodys garden (they only appear in the summer).

the absoloute best thing to get rid of them is CITRONELLI candles, as they flies dont like the smell of it. you can get them from B&Q and they are long candles, that you can stick in your grass, or planting pot. they are about £4 a candle - but it will make them fly off to another area.
