condensing boiler

not sure if this is the right section but i have a condensing boiler (18 month old) and 6 months ago had to have a gas company out as we had no hot water, after a 3 week delay they fitted a new diaphram and a new board thing (cant' remember what it was called. Went to run a bath before and no hot water, got heating and got hot water downstairs but not up. Could anybody shed any light. I dread having to get the gas co. out as it was a nightmare last time. thanks

If you have hot water downstairs but not upstairs, this would suggest that you may have a water pressure problem, or it could be the flow switch or even the diverter valve.

Is the water upstairs flowing at its normal rate, or is it much slower than usual?

hi hymie
the flow upstairs is actually a lot faster than normal. I remember now that it was the diverter valve we had replaced about 3 month ago after having the same problem
It doesnt sound like a pressure problem, it could be the diverter valve again, and/or the flow switch. Either way, you are going to have to call an engineer out to take a look & fix it I guess you are not going to see much change out of 200.

You could call the same people out and ask them to repair it for free, since the new part appears to have failed within a few months.
