windows

What do you call those windows which have lots of small panes, and in some of the panes the glass has a sort of round rippled bit. Like you might see in an 'olde worlde shoppe' type situation.
thanks

'Bull's eye' window glass. The glass would be blown by a glass-blower and spun quickly to form a flat disc. After cooling, the disc would be cut into smaller straight-sided shapes. The last rippled bit was where the blowing pipe had been attached.
but answering the question.. the type of window with the small panes- used to be seperated by lead but dont know what they use now.. is called a latticed window
georgian windows
The vast majority of "Bulls eye" windows are modern fakes.

The first glass was made as a cylinder and then opened out, later blown glass was blown as a sphere and then spub into a large disk. Panes of glass were then cut from this. The bit in the middle, the bulls eye was discarded and recycled but was sometimes used as the cheapest of the cheap
