Crockery valuation

My mother has some crockery and wants me to find out how much it's worth, what would the best way to do this online? She's shown me a cup and saucer that are white with a gold pattern and green dots. both have "ROYAL STANDARD BONE CHINA ENGLAND" on the bottom, the cup has 344 on the bottom too. Any clues?

Try taking it to a local auction house - they usually do free valuations hoping to sell the stuff for you.
