(Tue 15:27 20/Dec/05) Why not rent a small indistrial unit or lock-up? Guaranteed weatherproofing, security, and probably no neighbours at night when you practice.

Andy's probably right. I put up a shed this year, about 8' x 12 ' I dug the foundations and put down the concrete plinth myself and assembled it myself and had an electrician friend do the electrics and it still came to a grand for the plinth, shed electrics and that's going to be too small for you I'd think. You're going to find sound proofing a shed nearly impossible and then you've got to get planning permission. (Tue 18:26 20/Dec/05) There are companies (probably advertising in Home & Garden type magazines) which construct purpose-built garages from concrete blocks. I wonder whether something like this might suit you. They would be pretty sound-proof and damp proof and I imagine they would be more secure than a shed if you're aiming to store valuable musical equipment in it. Made sure you have secure locking facilities on it and adequate contents insurance cover too !
