Thank you shaneystar2, that was very helpful.

Thanks for asking this question. Are you also having probs with British Gas? I am reaching the point where I think the only answer is to write to the chairman.

Since moving 18 months ago we have been in dispute re the final meter reading. They (BGas) have written to say my reading is correct, but they keep changing the final meter reading and sending me another final bill. I have spend money on phone calls, stamps, etc, and they have just had the audacity to send me a further final bill for 24p, yes 24p. Can you believe it? I am at the end of my tether with them. I really think I will let them threaten court action and see what transpires over 24p, see if they come to their senses!

Sorry, rant over, got that off my chest. Hope your day is good.

Hi willowman, Yes we are having problems. B G fitted a new boiler in June of this year, at a cost of 4500.00. Last Monday it sounded like someone was inside hammering to get out, I should point out that the heat was still working at this stage. A week on and four engineer's visits later and we have no heat or hot water and they have offered to repair the boiler on 10th Jan 2006. A call to Trading Standards this morning has changed that and they are coming to replace a faulty part tomorrow. I have written to customer services and Roger Carr at Centrica. I feel we should be compensated as they have failed to provide the service they promised.
