Need to get quote to replace glass in one window. Glass has cracked right along the middle. It's a double glazed window and UPVC frame. Frame is fine . So does anyone have any idea what someone would charge to come out and replace the glass? It's 112cm x 90.5 cm. I'm hours away from the house so just wanted a rough idea before someone gives me a rip off price. Thanks in advance x

Ryzen does that include labour??

Excess is £200 apparently
I got a slightly smaller one done including labor for £50.
Remember that if you only replace the broken pane, you no longer have 'double glazing' giving insulation.
You're also liable get misting on the side where the one pane's replaced.
Maybe best to price a replacement DG unit.
The sealed unit is going to cost about £55 plus vat for 4mm clear glass inner and outer, with silver spacer bar, and 12 to 20mm gap. If it is low level glazing you may need safety glass. Labour will depend on accessibility and whether the beads and gaskets are re usable. I would be looking for a quote of £130 plus extra if gaskets and beads and ladders are required. Remember the glazer has to handle and dispose of the old sealed unit.

You state it is a double glazed unit .. whoever fits the new unit will need to come out once to measure up. It needs to be measured very accurately and they also need to know how thick the unit is. Go away any either make the unit or have it made for them.
Make a return trip and fit it and then dispose of the old unit.
The trade cost of the new unit should be under £80.. and their labour, time and travel needs to be added onto this.

I rang tons of companies and the prices varied hugely! From £198 + vat to £120 inc vat. And yes they all said they would need to come out first to measure up to themselves.
