I bought one of these recently from ebay. Its a 58 litre one, in lovely shiny stainless steel, and it took less that 3 days to arrive, via Argos ! ( only £39:98 as well ! )

But I am in danger of using up the 4xD batteries, as I can't resist "Waving my hand" over the sensor every time I walk past.

The way it shoots up and shoots back down again, 10 seconds later, is my newest toy.

Never heard of it. What is it?
Very smart.
I want one!!
Thanks Mamyalynne. Now I know.
Give me some petrol and I could space-launch you out of that, mikey!
Do you really, Ummmm? I hate big bins in the kitchen. Unhygienic. Far prefer a small bin hidden under the sink and emptied more regularly.

Ummm....use ebay. I tried Groupon last week, twice and on both occasions they delivered it to the wrong address. They were pretty quick in refunding my money though.

I ordered mine on Saturday afternoon from ebay and collected it this morning ( Tuesday ! ) from Argos ....so much easier than waiting for someone to try to deliver it to your home and you not being in to receive it.

And it was post free !

Whats not to like !

DTC...how are your hands now, after your experiment with using petrol as a fire-starter ?
I only usually go through one bin bag a week and our bins are collected weekly.
a little flaky, mikey, but nothing like a week ago - all my skin now showing and the scabs gone. Someone at the funeral thought that I had psoriasis....interestingly so, my new skin is showing freckles beginning to appear on the edges......thanks for asking.
We have one of those ... anyone want to see some pictures?

Yes please !

How about some video, so we can see it shoot up and down !
That's weird that, DT, I got badly sun burnt on my shoulders as a teen and once healed was very freckly.
perhaps it's our natural defences against skin cancers kicking through, ummmm. I have to take care but one advantage that I have is that I put my arms up to protect my face/eyes and took it on the underside of the arms.
You were lucky!
ummmm, I empty the little bin daily into the big outside bin - everything tied securely in plastic bin liners.
Oh, I empty my bin 5 times a day :-)
Good for you, anneasquith. Well done!
