Hedge Trimmer

I have a Qualcast 370 electric hedgetrimmer and the cutters are in need of sharpening. I am advised that to have this done professionally will cost about £30, so considering doing it myself. Advice please as to what type/grade of file I should purchase to do the job. Thanks in advance for any guidance received.

I would have thought the cutting blades of a hedge trimmer would be hardened. The probably need grinding to sharpen them, hence the cost.
