Hot Tap In Bathroom

Which way do you undo a bathroom sink tap,is it anti-clockwise or clockwise.

Sorry I typed my answer to your advice yesterday,but the send buttom would not send it for me.
Thankyou to PiedPiper,Mosaic & stuey,I have tried to do it anticlockwise and clockwise,and I put WD40 on as well to no avail.

Let the WD sink in - you could even do the same with olive oil, or baby oil

Also, wrap a cloth round your hand when you have another go.

Sometimes older taps with brass inner components cease up completely and will never budge even unto the end of time.
