One of the you know the glass plates inside the fridge - one of the edges has snapped off and of course I am without the glass plate which holds a hell of a lot.

I got a second hand one a cuppla weeks ago God knows where I went that day but it too has snapped. The day I was up with the guy there must have been thousands of these glass holders and he said to me you would need to look yourself to get a proper fit - you would never get around to that in days.

Is there anywhere else I could try. thanks

Why don't you find a parts supplier for your make and model of fridge and order a replacement from them?
Question Author
i'll do that Eccles - will try and find the manual.
The make and model is probably on the fridge somewhere and then you can google it.

thanks again - just after cleaning it all out so am a bit tired then CU tonight - so I will have a go tomorrow.
Many years ago I faced a similar problem – I solved it with a piece of glass (6mm thick) cut to size.
Try E spares for the part needed.
try a recycling yard there's bound to be one in your area, lots of fridges too look for a shelf. just explain to the guys working there what you need sure they'll help

ivor I have done all that - there arent too many - the day I got one - it was actually massive ie the warehouse full of them. No will try and order and get correct one.

I also went into window fitter place - they said they "couldn't" do it. So once I get the number I'll be on my way. Saying to myself nothing lasts for long. This fridge is only over a year old and wouldn't get much abuse since I am on my own here.
JJ, the make and model number will make it very easy to get a replacement, plenty of suppliers on line. Sometimes the model number is on a sticker inside the fridge.

I know that Tony - have done all this before regarding other machines etc. I'll get it ok.
Only 1 year old ! what is the make of this fridge ? so I can avoid buying the same in the future.
Try this place, I have ordered oven shelves from them.

/equality for all/ - that is just the place - there I'm thinking of buying the whole plate when the plate is not broke just the rims - the rims are there on the site and I was able to enlarge it and it is exactly like the one I am looking for. I am going to order two as I don't think they are that strong - thank you very much for that. And also thanks to all others who contributed to this post. by the way it is BEKO make.

I'll get round to it today sometime as I have to go into town which I loathe.

Bye all.
A HA, a Beko, I might have known, some years ago I bought a fridge/ freezer from Beko, and it was nothing but trouble. I avoid this brand in all electrical appliances, I'm sure they've had loads of complaints.
Question Author
that;s right whirly - they don't have a good name but somehow or other I end up with one or two machines and they have been quite good.

by the by I had to contact Beko themselves to get what I wanted - the instruction on the internet was badly described but who did I get - a chatline with Tom who was brilliant. So two new trims are on their way. Got the lot for just £18 (including postage). Anyway Whirly I am a bad girl I put my tins into my fridge - cos really I don't have much room so they (weight) has probably snapped the trims. So I dont blame Beko. Bye for now.
