Have just moved in to a house with parawood flooring. To me, it looks like laminate made of real wood. I've only lived with carpet till now. What do you use to clean this type of floor? I'm surprised at how dusty, and cat hairy it gets. What equipment do I need to make light work of it looking good?

PS: You must be imagining the cat hairs. You can't have any in your house because every cat hair in the world is either:
(a) firmly attached to a cat ; or
(b) instantly attracted to my clothing!

moving to wooden floor makes you realise just how much crap must have been in your carpet!
I generally tend to sweep mine, especially at the places where the dog hair accumulates, and just use flash for floors when i want to mop. This is on bamboo though not parawood (which i have never heard of).
I would love to have one of those roomba's that can do it when you are not there, but we have so much dog hair and they are so little, i have no idea where they would put it all!
