I have various gadgets for opening jars and bottles, but those bleach and toilet-cleaner type bottles, where you have to squeeze the two sides together while you unscrew, defeat me. Does anyone know of a gadget for opening them?

Knack is all very well, but I don't have the strength, due to RA.
If there was no danger of children getting at them could you ask someone to open the bottles and leave them somewhere safe?
Get a paper boy. My son often opens bottles and jars for some folk on his paper round.
A friend of mine transfers the contents to containers that open easily and keeps them in a locked cupboard.

That's good marketing. Make something difficult then sell another device to make it easy.
You can also put these plastic bottles in the door jam, pull the door too and twist the bottle. x
You can cut off the sticking out bits on the inside of the cap (which are what make it childproof) and then you just have a normal screw top. I do it to mine all the time!
The Brabrantia tool is great , use mine very frequently. It opens all different sizes so is invaluable!
I now have the secret to opening these hard tops. Run the tops over very hot water for a bit. Top softens and off comes the top.
