Are there any dishwashers that are particularly good for a kitchen with a narrow walkway (a long narrow kitchen in a terraced house).

In other words, a dishwasher where the door doesn't open so far.

It's a normal appliance space, so the dishwasher doesn't need to be narrow.

You would need one with double doors and I have never heard of this. A plumbing/engineering nightmare.
Have you given any thought to having a counter top dishwasher.

I thought of this Tony, but the problem would be the same only higher.

A solution may be to situate the machine on an end wall, but turned through 90 degrees so the door opened onto the work top.
Good idea, Sir O.
By the way koster, I don't mean buy one from that site it's an American site. But the pictures will give you an idea of what they look like.
A woman?
It's not as though the door is going to be left open for a long time. Why would you need to get passed the door while loading or unloading?

Well, a counter-top one would reduce the space used by the opening door, because it looks like counter-top dishwashers are half the height of a standard dishwasher.

But there's no spare counter-top space. I could put a counter-top dishwasher under the counter, but there'd have to be something underneath it to lift it off the floor.

I wanted to put a dishwasher where the washing machine is, and move the washing machine to the lean-to.
Put anything you like underneath it....a shelf with or without a door eg.

What about my point, koster?

Both machines are the same size methyl,so leave the W/machine where it is and put the D/washer in the lean-to.

Thanks for all the answers. I wouldn't put the dishwasher in the lean-to, because that would mean carrying the dirty dishes from the kitchen to the lean-to, and the clean dishes back ... besides, it gets chilly in the lean-to and I wouldn't want to stand there and get cold while loading/unloading the dishwasher. The washing machine would be used less than the dishwasher, and the laundry gets hung up in the lean-to or garden.

True, the dishwasher door wouldn't be open except when loading or unloading. I just wondered if there were any dishwasher doors that opened a bit less or were a bit shorter than others, to make sure it didn't hit the cupboards on the other side of the aisle.

///would you need to get 'passed' the door while loading///

It's not an exam, how about getting past it?
Koster how wide is your narrow walkway?
£780?! Gone all speechless! I'd just wash up and get it done with.

Wow, E.crespo's find would indeed solve the problem! But I'm not going to spend that much on a dishwasher. The walkway is 70cm wide.
