I found this article in the Scottish Sunday Mail this morning, I haven't read it because I have installed the purr-fect 'visitor' eradication system in my house. Recently I have witnessed the catch and dispatch of two spiders.

wolf,i can only appreciate your system! Like mine,carcasses of spidiley things have been found;-) The odd leg or four and bits of body have shown how our hero have saved us;-)

I adopted my first cat in 2001 after my dog died. He was a teenager so I thought that it would be easy for me to look after.

First morning he woke me (by licking my earlobe) at about three for food. A few days later I woke to see him sitting on a pillow, he had moving spider legs hanging out of his mouth - a gross sight. He then started crunching his snack. It was horrendously noisy - after a good burp he then demanded food.

I was off sick with depression when I got him and was beginning to doubt my parenting skills. After two weeks I tried giving him back to the cat shelter. I was getting driven nuts. He lived for another five years - he was a 'character'
