What Can I Plant On Ant Hills?

Hi

We have a few ant hills in the garden. Managed to kill off some of the ants through various remedies. The question is though, to tidy up where the ant hills are (in the middle of the lawn) what can be planted over the ant hills?

Ideally plants/trees that will not encourage more ants.

If this were my problem, I'd put a large pot over the patch, with strong-smelling herbs like sage in it. When you are sure the ants won't come back, say next spring, sow grass seed.

the lawn is quite large-I suspect random pots might look a little odd!

any suggestions as to what could be planted, plant or tree wise?
