Algae Between Paving Stones

i am having trouble getting rid of this algae between the paving stones. I have been on my knees and scraped it out only to find that it is back again as bad as ever. Does anyone know the best way to remove this long term as it is very unsightly. I had heard of bleach or Jeyes Fluid - does anyone agree?

I was told to put salt, lots of it between the paving stones, but I haven't tried it yet, so can't say for definate if it works.
Its cheap enough tho and worth a try. X

It is definitely algae and not moss Wolfgang. It looks like lots of small leaves all massed together.

Sodium Chlorate (if you can get it ),in a very strong solution,poured into the
spaces between the slabs.

Should keep algae and anything else at bay for a year at least.

Not expensive compared to proprietory weed killers.

Algae doesn't have leaves. More like a slightly fuzzy green mould. If it was algae, a strong solution of washing soda crystals would do for it. Pour it on and it'd be dead by next day. Then scub it off.
