Does anyone know where I can get knitting patterns on-line to prInt out rather than send for actual pattern? I have looked on line but so many sites that I thought asking someone would be easier. Thanks for any advice.
It depends what you want. There are several sites that offer free patterns - ravelry for one. You just have to sign up to access all the patterns although some are available without doing that. Also Coats who make Patons wool have a few free patterns on their website. Likewise Rowan. I usually just search for the type of pattern I want. The only thing to beware of is that many of the patterns are American so you'll need to 'translate' some of the terms and weight of yarn.
Mags, I use Pinterest, which I access through Facebook. They have many different interest topics, but you can pin the one you want. I have pinned knitting and crochet, and there are lots of free patterns, and beautiful photographs of the finished items. Also, because the patterns are posted by people who have actually created the item, you can post questions or problems that you might be having with following the pattern. Hope this helps. Happy knitting.
