Gas cooker

Just bought a gas cooker always had electric 1 of shelfs the bottom 1 has a big like lip on it does not show it in book which way does the lip face up or down thanks

Gas Oven Hissing Loudly And Flames At Odd Angles.....is This Incurable?

I'd appreciate any advice on my gas cooker. The bottom oven has of late started to be very noisy when lit - loud hissing, almost roaring - and the whereas flames come out of the top of the long oblong...
