My ikea sink waste doesnt work very well is it possible to use the normal U bend waste connections.

Go to your local plumbing merchants and ask for a "Mcalpine" sink trap. 1 1/4" for wash hand basins, 1 1/2" for kitchen sink. easy to install, no tools required! job's a good en!

I also had problems with my Ikea sink waste pipe as it was constantly leaking. The fitting to Ikea kitchen products are slightly different to the mainstream, but I used rubber sealer... lots of it and had to do several layers befor it stopped leaking!
