I too thought it was six months, but I expect you could negotiate a shorter term if the landlord was agreeable. Depends on how easy it is to rent.

I think it is six months, you would be lucky to get a landlord who only wants you to stay for two or three months. I think you have to get a contract for a year with a six month break clause. Ask your local estate agents, you may be lucky.

Depends where you are I would think. You can get them in London and here in Brighton. Speak to some lettings agents, they may have a client who would accommodate you.

The normal "Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreement" is for a minimum of six months but is not fixed by any law. It can be for any length of time the landlord agrees. The landlord may charge more per month to rent a property for a shorter period ( to cover his expenses) but it depends on him/her.

I am a lettings agent. The minimal letting fixed in period is 6 months. Even if you had been issued an AST (Assured Shorthold tenancy Agreement) made out for 3 months (some agents are not clued up), 6 months is the minimum.
