Hello there,

I live for the moment in Erdington( i hate this are:( ), and i lived as well in City Centre, Yardley( Coventry Road) and Washwood heath road, that was awful as well.. I`m planning to move in the next 2 months time maximum from Erdington, and I don`t know where. For one year i hated to live in Birmingham, but recently I discover the beauty of the Birmingham, and I said to myself to give another change to this city, but now I don`t know which area to choose.
we are an young couple, but we are looking for a really affordable area, for me it is impossible to think to pay more than 650£ for a decent house, and to be honest I can`t understand why some parts of Birmingham are so awful, i do like the cultural cocktail but the reason that i moved into Uk was to find British culture not the est european or Bombay one.
I know that Sutton Coldfield and solihull are good area, but they are pretty expensive. I am looking for an area that have a park, not very far from city center, not far from shops, with nice atmosphere.
anyway i will thank you in advance for every idea that you will share with me. have a great day/evening/night :)

I lived on the west side - Quinton - we liked it there. Some parts are better than others, ditto Edgbaston - there are poorer parts on the Smethwick border but some cracking big houses as you get near the cricket ground.

Could you buy a house anywhere in B'ham for £650?
That might be £650 per month, Sandy.

Lots of rental in Edgbaston last time I was there btw, but the University is near so much is taken up with student accommodation.
why not move outside birmingham to tamworth, redditch, sandwell or warwickshire? most cities are grim, the only way to escape is to move away from it.
I agree with boxtops - mum-in-law lives in Quinton and it seems nice enough.
Trinity Road would be ok, dont you think cazzz ?
not if your a nose tony ;)
Moseley is nice, as are prts of King's Heath - but why not move outside of the city? 9/10 miles out in any direction will find you some nice towns and villages.
LOL, very short life expectancy lol.

Tamworth it is really nice, Quinton it is not so bad, Kings Heath it is also not so bad..but i`m not looking for what they offer. Thank you so much .
What about Edinburgh?
Timbuktu is pretty good.
Maybe Australia or Los Angeles???
;o)

it is really easy to be arrogant.
Anyway thank you all, the main reason that i chose to leave here it is just the jobs opportunities, I really believe that it is an ugly city but with a lot of interesting people, anyway thank you. I found my answer:)
