Where is the best place to live between Dewsbury, and Sale in Manchester.

How near to the M62 do you need to be? The Saddleworth area and Tintwistle are attractive.

Huddersfield is a lovely place, however the best areas are in the middle of nowhere, miles away from the motorways and are cut off from civilisation at the first sign of snow.

Thanks for everyones answers and opinions, main concern is getting to Sale in the 9 - 5 rush hour, how is that on the m62 & m60 ring road?
