Dripping mono block tap

In the kitchen I have a dripping mono block tap, Why, when the pressure in the system drops due to the tap in the bathroom being opened, does the kitchen tap drip faster.

Possibly a cartridge type Sigma........ when they go wrong, funny things happen. Replacement cartridge needed I guess.
