How long after a ceiling has been newly plastered can one paint it.

As soon as the plaster is all dry Meaning that it has gone a very light pink colour. Then you can paint it. But never put the 1st few coats on neat always do a miss coat (mix just water in to paint) so when you apply it you should still be able to see the plaster through the paint. Then after 2 coats of that then you can add the paint neat for the final layers.
