I sometimes turn on the taps and light brown bits come pouring out, not sure what it is, hard water debris, any ideas.

I get black bits they don't seem to do any harm but I'm in a block of flats so it may be from a central water tank
Question Author
get those too, not sure about these little squiggly bits,
sounds like some sort of insect larvae? maybe the cast off skins from gnats
Question Author
i hope not, they look like little brown worms though, can't be surely...
I hope it's just the hot taps em. Probably from a roof tank. It may need to be cleaned out and have a cover fitted. If it's the cold taps I think you ought to call your water supplier.
