(02:14 on Mon 25/Apr/05) Depending on the moisture content, 1 cubic foot of soil weighs about 40 pounds... 27 cubic feet to the cubic yard or 1080 pounds to the cubic yard... You'll have to do the math to convert to your system...

(17:55 on Mon 25/Apr/05) The best way we use in the business is to find the volume in cubic metres and then multiply by a factor of 2.3 This allows for the bulking factor of soil
