Help with colour scheme please

I have just had my kitchen refitted, with cream cupboard doors, the work surface is dark and the wall tiles are large and brown in a brick pattern. I need to find a colour to go on the walls! The kitchen is quite light, and also has an archway through to the living room so I have to bear in mind the colours will have to compliment each other. My sofa is terracotta. Any ideas greatly appreciated!!!

how about a pale dove grey? i just saw something like it on the telly and it looked really smart. i would stick with neutral colours.
Hi HJT40,

Try this link, I often refer to it for colour schemes..

Hi, I design kitchens, i think a cuppachino colour would look good.
a torquoise or duck egg blue or a really pale olive green would be lovely in the kitchen - I am not sure about the terracotta sofa though. Maybe you should cover it with a taupe colour throw as the duck egg or torqouise would look good with that.
