New Dishwasher Making 'graunching' Noise

Just had a new fitted kitchen installed and my new KDW45S13 Slimline Dishwasher - Silver is making a terrible noise at the start and end of the cycle. Dishwasher bought independently to the kitchen fitters from Currys.
It does seem to be cleaning OK.
Any ideas please?

Something is obviously not right !
Might seem like a daft Question, but, have you made sure you have removed all relevant packaging from Dishwasher ?
Is the Filter in place properly ?
Whilst still under Guarantee you need to have a word with Curry's....
