i ordered some plug plants online ,fuschias and busy lizzies and left them too long before potting them ,the leaves had all rotted and turned to mush ,as they had a strong root system which hadn't dried out i took a chance and planted them in my patio pots ,will they send new leaves up or should i have just thrown them away?

They might grow new leaves but you won't be getting healthy plants before a long time. If you want a good show for the summer you'd be better replacing them.
