Paraffin v heating oil

I am told heating oil is just as good as paraffin in a flame gun . anyone got any experience of that????

Veg oil works ok in deisel engines so why not?
try mixing it.

Thanks for that . I was wondering if anyone had any idea of the comparative volatility in case I cinder myself as well as the weeds :-))
