Carnations

Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to name a carnation? I know you can name a rose, but wanted to name my mother's favourite flower .. carnations or pinks.
Please advise cost, if known.

I am not sure if this is a possiblity, but why not google in dianthus growers u.k. and contact them, I'm sure they will be able to advise you. Good luck! It's a lovely idea.
