I've googled and can only find root and stem rot. One of my dusty miller ants has something on the stems that looks like dried cream paint? Anybody have any ideas please?

Yes, I'm a bit wary of doing that OG. Never mind, it looks like I need to pull it up, covering most of the plant now, hadn't noticed until yesterday when doing the borders. Thank you.

I agree, it definitely sounds like 'rust disease', Eleena.
If you google 'ragwort rust' and look at some images, you can see the species is prone to it.

Hi chip, I've just spotted some thin green what look like baby caterpillars wriggling on the leaf!
the stain could be a result of aphids spreading fungus ..if it is powdery whitish a solution of milk water 1:10 sprayed or a fungicide spray..for the grubs a mix of washing up liquid to water about the same
