It would have to be for creosote substitute or something similar now as Creosote has been banned. Googling creosote sparyers gives a few discussion threads on gardening site forums and horse&hounds which you may want to read, but these seemed to be around 5 years old, maybe because of the ban

Thanks 10, that's how long ago I last treated a fence. Found one that's click and collect that's mid range price.

lots here Lina... if this is something that is only going to be done once in a blue moon ..Home Bargains sell a pump up pressure sprayer for a little over ten pounds, would do for single use..maybe more.but it gets very messy..wear a white paper suit with hood and googles/gloves..stand down wind....and you need someone behind fence with a large background capture board or your neighbours will not be happy.... I prefer to paint on for all the above reasons...

Murray, thanks for your input! I was thinking of all those things. I think I've overestimated our strength here in pulling out the panels, I think I will use a brush after all!
