I'm growing some from seed, and instructions say to nip off third set of leaves to encourage bushiness, I'm a bit wary of doing so, should I be? Thanks,( new to growing these)

I would just let them grow how they are doing if there only small young plants once a bit bigger and you rather they bush out than grow taller nip off the main shoot at the top and they will bush out sideways more. and also, remember when they start flowering, always cut off the flowers each day to keep them flowering, if not they go to seed and don't flower much...
