My Gaura Lindheimeri are all looking dead, one has minute green shoots on one stem, they were all 3 planted in a sunny West facing border and were strong sturdy plants, flowered like mad ,I trimmed the tops lightly in the Autumn. Now they look like dead brown bushes.
Will they recover,do I prune more, what did I do wrong?
Advice please, thanks.

where are you in the country? I am in the far south and my gaura grown in a sheltered spot have only just started to shoot. Be patient. I love gaura and the way that the flowers bob in the breeze like butterflies

I'm in the South as well , just had another look and they look as dead as ever , but I'll wait it out with fingers crossed. Thanks Woofgang for the hopeful comment.
I'm in Lincolnshire and mine has shoots a couple of inches long. I trimmed it in the spring as per the label
