Well, I've cut the grass for the first time this season (very satisfying) and pruned back the Buddleia, hard to 18''.
Looking around, I've noticed some of the herbaceous plants, ferns etc are just beginning to peep through the soil, which reminds me, those old garden canes don't seem to last long as markers, so if anyone has a more durable solution, I would be pleased to know.

Thanks... Chip

...And tonight I've sown some annuals in pots, to keep the butterflies and bees etc happy and with a bit of luck, they may return the favour by keeping the aphids at bay.

I've been to my allotment & picked some purple sprouting (2nd lot of the year). Checked out the forced rhubarb (should be picking next week):-)
I love purple sprouting broccoli, Melv. Any spare?
