Dame Edna I presume?
If you planted them out in that order they'd all come together. Just leave a week apart next year. Same things go for crocuses but nothing we can do about that as they all need to be planted in autumn and then we just leave them.
David, sorry to intrude on your post, but I wonder if you or a.n.other, could advise me. I planted Gladioli for the first time and two have flowered(slugs got the rest!!) One is nearly 6' tall . Wow! Will they grow again next year? Thank you kind ABers. xx
janbee I leave my bulbs in from one year to the next. So long as they are planted deep enough (6") and in good drained soil they'll be fine. I always spread some leaf mould over my beds too as a natural fertilizer.
Thank you Coccinelle. Your advice is greatly appreciated. Here's hoping for a bumper crop next year. Thanks again. xx

Thanx all. I do indeed leave mine in year after yearm best way for self multiplying, so of course now way of planting 2 weeks apart as suggested. I will just live with the 'staggered' display I guess.
