Passion Flower eaten..

I bought a passion flower to climb over an arch which it has, however... all the leaves have been eaten, all I have is a stem and tendrils. What could have caused this and what can I do about it please.
ps there is a clematis on the other side of the arch, the leaves are ok ish but the flowers are 'lacy' TIA

I reckon it's snails. The same happens to our wallflowers. Check your arch, I bet they're hiding.
Likely to be snails...there are a lot of them about now the drought (ha ha) is over. They certainly did some serious damage to our petunias.

Great minds boxy LOL
LoL, great snails :-)
I have had exactly the same problem except the b@stards have eaten the lot and left the stems and the stick - they were new and I'd only just popped them in

But I am wondering if the roots are alright are they still'alive'
It may be those huge slugs. I've been picking them off my potatoes. Go out at night with a torch and take a look
