Strawberry Leaves

After fruiting, should I cut down the foliage or leave to rot away(as with daffodil flowers) so that the goodness goes back into the roots?

leave the foliage on to help the plant keep growing for next year. if you want more or new plants then allow the runners to develop, if you don't, then cut the runners off to conserve the plant's strength. many people allow the runners to grow to make next years plants and discard the old central plant when the runners are rooted.
