dirty gravel

Hi, we put some gravel down in our front garden a few years ago, I think it was Cotswold stone, quite pale. It has got quite dirty, although no vehicles and not many feet travel across it. It is especially bad where it runs alongside tarmac. Is there anything we can do to clean it? We have planted into it. When we turn stones over it is still nice and bright. The road next to the garden is not too busy. Any advice wopuld be most welcome

pressure hose
Its algae and natural weathering... its meant to go like that... If you use a pressure hose it will be blasted all over the place,,,, raking it regularly helps it look more even after a time but this is a problem with pale chippings
Pressure hosing gravel? lol.
Isn't that the approved method of shotblasting the side of an irritant neighbour's prize car?

Thanks, I doubt if I'll try pressure hose! A shame if it has to go dark, but I notice even the yellow gravel doesn't look too good after a while.
