bedding plants

In our local market yesterday, they were selling a lot of bedding plants 1/2price. They are there every year and I don't remember seeing them sold off this early before.

Do you think it is something to do with the cold weather we have had. Also I have some trailig lobellia which I have put into hanging baskets. They are only outside for a short while when the weather is good but they look a bit sad and droopy. Hope we are not in for a bad show of our flowers this year.

They often look droopy when you first plant them (my neighbour's lupins looked pathetic but they are standing up well now). I'd leave them out, unless frost is forecast - they can get lanky and miserable indoors.
There are bargains to be had this year due to the poor weather. Spring has not Sprung yet!!
